Hidden object game review

Affair Bureau

After getting bored with following cheating spouses, tracking down lost jewelry, and finding stolen cars, Alex, a former police officer, has decided to take on more serious crimes. So when a mysterious woman comes to his Affair Bureau leaving her business card on his desk, he decides to find out who she is and what she wants.

Alex’s investigations take him from roof tops to subway tunnels, and each location requiring him to search for clues by finding a list of objects hidden in each cluttered scene. The scenes are quite dynamically drawn, and items are hidden well. Gameplay in Affair Bureau is untimed, and there’s no penalty if you make incorrect clicks. Every so often you’ll play a mini-game that ties in with the story, such as analyzing samples in the lab by matching cells in a microscope, rigging a fuse box by connecting the electrical currents, and picking a lock by rotating the knobs to the correct settings.

Investigate freshly discovered crime scenes in this charming noir-like detective story. Find the clues to close the case and capture the crooks!
